The cost of installing these chargers is high as compared to Level 1 and Level 2 charging stations, which are usually installed by private entities such as apartment buildings.

The charger is designed for use with charging stations that have the SAE J1772 standard connector, also known as a “Level 1” charging station. The Eco Power EV Charger does not work with other types of electric vehicles or with non-standard connectors such as CHAdeMO or Tesla Superchargers.
The charger is designed for use only with 120 volt power sources at 20 amps or more. It does not work with 240 volt power sources at up to 40 amps.
The maximum input power is 30 amps (1800 watts). This means that the maximum number of amps at which you can charge your car depends on the voltage supplied by your wall outlet and on how many other devices are plugged into it at any given time (including other EV chargers). If there’s too much demand on an outlet, it can cause damage to appliances, equipment or even homes if they’re not properly wired and grounded. We recommend using an electrical outlet that’s rated for 15 amps or higher if possible.
